DERAILED AND DEPARTED
is coming to Ft. Worth for a special performance benefitting STARS Theater Company’s Capital Campaign, “There’s No Place Like Home”.
Attorney Dewey Cheatumgood, a dubious dealer of bogus railroad bonds, has been killed and there’s no shortage of stockholders to suspect. On any given day that’d be enough to keep Marshal Jim Courtright busy, but word is a notorious bounty hunter named Dude is coming to town and now everyone’s on edge. Did Captain Calvin, the shell shocked sole survivor of Custer’s Last Stand cause another casualty? Could the fast talking salesman Edward Ponzee have closed a final deal with the deceased? Might Maggie Magpie, the former magician’s assistant, mysteriously make another man disappear? Or did Dude lay the lawyer low for another bounty? Watch as the Marshal tries to keep the peace and solve this crime, but hold on tight ‘cause this wild bunch is bound to run right off the rails.
Cinch up yer saddle and join the posse — we’ve got a murder to solve!
Doors open at 6:00pm and dinner will be served at 7:00pm. Tickets are $100.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. Cocktail attire requested.

Y’all won’t want to miss it!
to Founded in 1994, STARS Theater Company is celebrating 30 years of educational theater for young people. STARS’ most popular program is the Youth Repertory Company consisting of two full cast musicals for children ages 8-18 and two musicals for young children ages 8-12. Students ages 8-18 study acting, singing and dancing with STARS professional staff led by Founding Director, Lu Anne Tyson, with a master’s degree in Theater from Abilene Christian University. STARS Theater Company was founded on the idea that every student should have the opportunity to perform, and all interested students are cast in the productions. STARS’ goal is to provide a safe learning environment for students to excel in theater arts and develop leadership skills. We are proud of our former students including several performers working in NYC, LA, Chicago, Austin and around the country as well as 5 former students working as theater directors in local schools.
Theater, however, is an expensive undertaking, especially operating as a non-profit and maintaining reasonable prices for patrons and students alike . . .so we created our annual Gala, “There’s No Place Like Home.”
At this event, we invite potential sponsors and benefactors to spend an evening of murder mystery dinner theater with us.
Any way you can help is encouraged and greatly appreciated.
